David Glymph was born in Philadelphia and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. He graduated from Clemson University in 1971 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. He moved to the Myrtle Beach area in 1980, where he met and married his wife Judy in 1981. They have two children and four grandchildren. He enjoys reading and spending time with his family. They live in Little River, South Carolina.
Professionally, David has earned a reputation for creativity combined with straight-forward practicality in the field of architecture. He has developed a successful long-term relationship with several major clients, and has worked with Horry County Schools on over 28 different school projects in the last 35 years. He has served as design architect on many major projects in the Grand Strand area, including the Grande Dune Ocean Clubhouse, Broadway at the Beach, Hampton Inn at Broadway at the Beach, townhomes at the Market Common, high rise condominiums such as Meridian Plaza and Sea Mark Tower, large and small private residences, commercial buildings such as banks and office buildings, restaurants, house of worship such as Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church, First Presbyterian Church of Myrtle Beach and Loris First Baptist Church, as well as the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center. David continues to enjoy the many challenges and rewards of the practice of architecture.
